Dance Learning for Deaf Children Through Metaphoric Activities

Hearing problems in deaf children make it difficult for them to absorb verbal information while learning, but their learning modalities can be optimized. In the dance process at SLB Tunas Kasih 1 Bogor, teacher stimulates create own moves through metaphorical activities based on surrounding environment by optimizing visual and tactile modalities. The purpose of this article is describe Bogor. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis method. data sources research were teachers 1. Data collection used observation, interviews documentation studies. was carried out means triangulation. results indicate that activities, maximize abilities obtaining lessons so match children. Metaphoric also foster imaginative ideas, making easier explore movements resulting from ideas. Through metaphoric activity easily creativity creating movements, optimize creative moves.
